This course is simply awesome in every respect. Every hole has a fabulous view of the Atlantic Ocean. The weather is challenging – it’s the ultimate links course in the sense that the course is closed from October to April due to such extreme conditions. The welcome is typically Irish, the Clubhouse offers fantastic food and Guinness and a great shop..

Ceres Golf Estate, Breede River Valley, South Africa.

Mont Mayor Golf Course, Andalucia, Spain.

This course is one of the most spectacular on the Costa del Sol and is consistently voted as one of the top five in the world. When you see the location, all you can do is marvel at how people built it, let alone play on it. The course is laid out in a wooded valley with an old Moorish fort perched on the top of the nearby summit of Monet Mayor. Not for the faint hearted!

San Lorenzo, the Algarve, Portugal.

This is a challenging and interesting course, with amazing views and interesting wildlife surrounding the holes. Positioned in the south-east corner of Quinta do Lago, the Rio Formosa nature reserve and estuary is just next door. Surrounded by pine woodland and with Bermuda grass fairways, it’s a real pleasure to walk around. The clubhouse has a very friendly feel to it and serves good food and a welcome chilled beer.
